Taking care of your skin doesn’t have to be overwhelming. After 20 years as an Esthetician, these are the gentle, consistent habits I always come back to.

1. Ice Your Skin (Yes, Really)
A quick ice facial can do wonders. It helps reduce inflammation, shrink the look of pores, calm breakouts, and boost circulation. Just wrap an ice cube in a soft cloth and glide it over your skin for a few seconds. It’s an instant refresh—and totally free.
2. Always Double Cleanse (Especially If You Wear Makeup)
Your makeup remover or micellar water is just step one. Always follow up with a gentle second cleanse to make sure every bit of grime is gone. Leftover residue can cause clogged pores, breakouts, and dullness. Clean skin is happy skin.
3. Never. Ever. Pick.
I get it—it’s tempting. But picking at your skin causes inflammation, spreads bacteria, and often leads to long-term marks or scars. Instead, apply a warm compress, ice it, or use a spot treatment with salicylic acid or sulfur.

4. Don’t Skip Moisturizer
Even if you’re oily or acne-prone, your skin needs hydration. Skipping moisturizer can make your skin produce more oil to compensate. Choose one that fits your skin type—and apply it while your skin is still slightly damp to lock in moisture.
5. Wear Your SPF—Every Day
The #1 thing you can do to protect your skin from aging, sun damage, and irritation? SPF. Rain or shine. Even indoors if you’re near a window. No product works if your skin is constantly battling UV damage.
Start here. Keep it simple. Your skin will thank you.
Thanks for spending part of your day here. It really does mean a lot!
